Monsoon Poon

Located in Auckland's bustling Customs Street West, near the Viaduct, Monsoon Poon offers an authentic taste of Asia in New Zealand.

The restaurant offers food from Malaysia, Vietnam, Thailand, India, China and Indonesia and the chefs seek to provide the best of food from the area, while making Asian food accessible to everyone.  Knowledgeable staff can explain some of the more exotic dishes on the menu in simple terms so diners know exactly what to expect.

Stylish decor creates a welcoming atmosphere while the open kitchen means diners can watch the chefs at work preparing their dishes while they wait.  The restaurant offers a mix of cosy booths, perfect for a quiet dinner for two, and large tables that are perfect for a family meal or a social night out.

The menu offers a number of dishes that are meant for sharing to add to the fun of a group meal. Bookings can be made for lunch, but not for dinner.

Functions:

Monsoon Poon can also be hired to host corporate and private events with tailored set menus. The Atrium area can seat up to 100 at one table or, host cocktail parties of up to 200 which can have their own South East Asian flavour.
