Tairua Dive & Fishinn offers a professional and affordable service to divers and fishers of all abilities. Their base houses not just the boats, but a comprehensive store stocking all kinds of equipment and supplies, refreshments and hot showers - a real plus point for anyone who knows what it's like stepping back onto dry land after a day under the sea!

For divers, you'll want to explore the beautiful coastal waters around the Alderman Islands wildlife reserve, Lens Reef, Slipper Island, Shoe Island and Mercury Island. Tairua Dive & Fishinn can supply all your gear, and the captain has with him an experienced crew at all times, which comes in handy when exploring one of the most challenging undersea reefs at Point Danger. Visibility in most locations is easily around 30m, so there's plenty to see here. Tell the staff you diving capabilities, and they'll know exactly which diving trip will be best suited to you. Most trips include two dives, and if you want your own personal guide with you under the water, that can be arranged, too, no problem. The company also runs PADI 5 star diving courses, so even if you're a novice, this is the very place to change that.

For fishers, Tairua Dive & Fishinn provides ample opportunity to go out and catch your lunch. All equipment is provided (except the fish - that's up to you!), and whatever your experience, whether you're a fishing god, or an absolute beginner, your experienced captain will make sure you have the trip of a lifetime, and you won't go hungry (especially as you can also arrange to have a food hamper waiting for you on board...). Get lucky and land yourself a kingfish, or head for the snappers instead, and see who can bag the biggest. Trips are half or full day and boat capacities range from 6 to 17 people.
